Vicon’s new Surveyor-Mini is a vandal proof IP-66 (weather-proof), network PTZ camera domecapable of day and night video imaging with a 10x optical zoom. The H.264 compression enables theunit to deliver high-quality video while minimizing impact on the network. The indoor andoutdoor models and a variety of mounting options provide flexibility and significant cost savings over previous SurveyorVFT models.
Features: • DNR(Digital Noise Reduction): By using DNR technology, the amount of video noise has been significantly reduced while the signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) and horizontal resolution have beenimproved, resulting in a clear and sharp image display even in the dark. • 10x Optical Zoom: The 10x optical zoom lens features Auto Focus, Auto Iris and Zoom Tracking functions. • High Resolution: The horizontal resolution of 500TV Lines at Color mode and 570TV Lines at BW mode are achieved using a SONY CCD. • Day & Night (ICR): An infrared (IR) Cut-Filter can be disengaged from the image path for increased sensitivity in low-light environments. The ICR will automatically engage depending on the ambient light, allowing the camera to be effective in day & night environments. • Transmission: The unit can be configured for H.264, MPEG-4 (ViconNet), or analog transmission. The analog version of the product supports multiple protocols. • Extended Temperature Range: Outdoor units include a blower and thermostatically-controlled heater. • Domes: All domes are vandal-resistant, constructed of impact-resistant polycarbonate and secured by tamperproof screws. The standard configuration is clear domes for indoor models and smoked domes for outdoor units. Availability The Surveyor Mini will begin shipping in Second Quarter, 2010.
